Report details up-to-date finances for Senate and House races

The Center for Responsive Politics released a report detailing the 10 most expensive Senate and House races in Washington D.C. by how much each campaign raised and spent. The report offers users the ability to choose between all candidates in the races or current candidates only.


Minnesota’s District 06 tops the House list of most money raised while Illinois’ District 10 comes in at ninth. Illinois Districts 10 and 5 spent a total of $9,259,097 so far while Minnesota’s District 06 has spent only $4,321,504. Candidates in Wisconsin and Illinois have raised $42,663,809 and spent $31,953,468 in the Senate races.

Wisconsin ranks sixth and Ohio ranks ninth of money raised by the current Senate candidates. Wisconsin moves up a spot on the list to fifth on money spent by Senate candidates and Illinois advances to tenth on the list.

Of the current candidates running for the House, Minnesota’s District 06 raised the most money with $7,000,894 and is ranked third on money spent with $3,780,617.
