Project Vote memo looks at voting rights restrictions & opportunities

Project Vote has released a research memo called Election Legislation 2011: Threats and Opportunities Assessment Update (PDF). The memo takes a look at state level legislation that restricts voting rights, be it through voter ID, reducing registration windows, or changing early voting rules. Also noted are the bills that were proposed and vetoed during this year’s legislative session. Project Vote also examines opportunities for expanding voter rights and making registration easier, highlighting state legislation in California and Nevada.
