Indiana has also recently entered into an agreement on compliance with the 1993 National Voter Registration Act (or, ‘Motor Voter’ act). Before their compliance, Indiana public service offices registered only about 100 voters per month. That number has now increased to 4,800 per month. Groups that pushed compliance include  Demos, Project Vote, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, and the NAACP, and the ACLU of Indiana
