WDC offers PAC contribution database

WDC offers PAC contribution database

The Wisconsin Democracy Campaign unveiled an database listing contributions from political action campaigns and other campaign committees to candidates for the Wisconsin Legislature, governor, lieutenant governor,  attorney general, state school superintendent and state Supreme Court justices.

Also included in the database are contributions from the Wisconsin Election Campaign Fund, which was intended as a substitute for PAC contributions.

The database has been updated through the end of August 30, 2010 for all candidates who filed the pre-primary report.

The contributor records in this database generally date back to 1993, although in limited cases contributions dating as far back as 1991 are included. All contributions are based on reports filed by candidates with the state’s Government Accountability Board.

Users are able to conduct a simple search by accessing a list of PACs available on the WDC website. Contributions form individuals can be found here.
