Redistricting reform bills introduced in Michigan House

Bills sponsored by Rep. John Walsh, R-Livonia, and Rep. Mark Meadows, D-East Lansing, would move map-drawing responsibilities to the Legislative Service Bureau. According to MIRS Capital Capsule, “the Meadows bill would only apply to the state’s legislative districts, while the Walsh bill would apply LSB-driven redistricting to Michigan‘s congressional districts.”
