Network partner TakeAction Minnesota staged a protest against Wells Fargo at the bank’s offices in Minneapolis. The marches and protests were in response to major banks’ unwillingness to address the current foreclosure crisis. Over 200 people participated in the march, which already yielded some results, as Wells Fargo contacted a couple facing foreclosure to re-negotiate their loan, reports the Minnesota Independent. The TakeAction march was independent of the current Occupy Minnesota march, and was planned before Occupy began protesting. However, TakeAction executive director Dan McGrath also stated that, “any effort that puts wind our sails, we want to be part of.”
