National Conference on Citizenship releases Ohio Civic Health Index
The National Conference on Citizenship, in partnership with the Miami University Hamilton Center for Civic Engagement, released its Ohio Civic Health Index this week. The report measures different forms of engagement, including voting, volunteerism, political participation, group participation, and social connectedness. Ohioans participate in community groups, says the report, and Ohio also held a volunteerism rate higher than the national average, while voting in Ohio is approximately in line with the rest of the country.
