MDN parnters ask for stronger rules when judges involved in cases with campaign supporters

Several Midwest Democracy Network partner organizations wrote letters last week to the Michigan Supreme Court urging it to strengthen the state’s recusal rules on when judges must step aside from cases involving campaign supporters. Friday was the deadline for submitting public comment to the Michigan Court, which took the initiative in reviewing its rules even before the Caperton v. Massey ruling was handed down.
