Democracy Convention 2011

Democracy Convention 2011

On Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, Midwest Democracy Network will be attending the Democracy Convention in Madison, Wisconsin.

The conference will be covering many of the issues that the Network follows including campaign finance reform, open government, voting rights, and redistricting. Sessions will be focused not just on the current state and history of the issues, but also on what can be done in the future.

Network partners will be well represented amongst the presenters, as Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, Common Cause Minnesota, and the Brennan Center for Justice will all have staff participating in workshops and panel discussions.

We will be live-tweeting the conference tomorrow and Saturday morning, so please follow us on Twitter for real-time updates. Also look for a wrap-up in this space early next week. For those unable to join in Madison, the conference will be streaming online. The conference started yesterday, August 24, and runs through Sunday, August 28.
